How do "tick charts" differ from intraday charts?

1 tick = 1 trade,   it is just another way of interpreting intraday data, used in some other packages. I have had it mentioned to me and thought it sounded an interesting concept.

difference explained below:

Minutes - (Time Specific Bar Chart): This setting is for intraday charts only.  Sets the number of minutes and seconds per bar/column in the chart. A bar occupies one column in the chart.

Number of Ticks/Trades (Tick Chart): This setting is for intraday charts only.  This sets the number of ticks per bar.  A tick is a trade.  Each bar will be based on the number of ticks/trades instead of a time specific period. You set the number of ticks per bar [eg. 5 ticks/bar] and also chart as candlesticks.

cheers

Ah, right. Thanks!

I can't say when we'll get around to it, but it's definitely on our list. :)
