hello peter....thanks for the info, i did a template candle with swing overlayed, i also tryed the line swing and it is good i might switch to that, i set my daily at 2 bar and weekly at 1 bar, as u suggested , all good so thanks very much for your info....one thing i spoke to a very highly regarded trader about swing charts he said swing charts have no time scale so are best viewed on there own, not over a candle chart, so not sure if i should be doing what i am with the overlay method, so also look at swing charts on there own, ok thanks, fiesta62

The Gann swing chart is constructed using the number of bars in the parameters tab. A 1 bar swing chart is too messy on a daily chart but looks good on a weekly chart. On the daily charts I use 2 bar swings as 3 bar swings ignore many smaller corrections. I prefer to see the swings as lines rather than steps (another option in the parameters tab).
The style tab allows you to display a price plot (also check normal time) which can then be changed to candlesticks. |
